Some simple hats
I've been knitting some hats for present. Here are two simple hats from worsted weight merino.
They may look funny when not modeled properly. The principle is the same as described here. I don't turn up the edge, so my hat is a little bit shorter.
The yarn weight is approximately the same (merino 50 g/100 m and mohair 50 g/110 m) but the look and the number of stitches I casted on is different. The mohair hat is thinner and lighter and hairier and knitted with larger needles. So yarn weight matters but the fiber matters as well.
